Speak up and help make a change

“As a result of your complaint an investigation into the Obstetrics department is considering how women are referred to clinic and who should review them. Although I feel that the medical advice you were given by the doctors was well-intended, some of the anxiety created may have been avoided if your discussion had been with a more senior clinician. Similarly we will be looking at the clinic structure to see how the doctor : patient ratio can be altered to improve the patient’s experience”

This is a response one of “my” mums has just received from a London hospital after complaining about pressure being placed on her for induction. It’s so important to feedback about your experiences – both the good and the bad – so we can help enact change.
