We are guilty of not writing sooner been in a blissful bubble with our new baby Evie (yes how coincidental…Evie!).

We had a fantastic home birth really amazing experience.
I started the surges on Sunday they stopped, started, stopped started then she was born on the following Weds in a pool in our living room…It was relaxed and serene.
The midwives said they ‘did nothing’ and they were certain I was relaxed due to the hypnobirthing…I’m absolutely certain they right….THANK YOU KAT! I loved the labour really did. She was pretty much born in the membrane and came out with her hands on her face, 2nd stage was confusing as we could not work out why the membrane had not burst. I was given a choice at about 32 hours (whoa!) to burst the membrane or truck on for another possible 4/6 hours my way (at this point I was exhausted!!!) but I used the B.R.A.I.N model….and she was out in 2 hours no tear, no cries she swam around in the pool like a slippery little fish… we couldn’t catch her.. Umbilical cord wrapped all around her, we all tried to pull it off…then she latched on straight away!

Amazing. She is so calm and such an easy baby…
