There is an oft shortened quote from Helen Keller about courage that we do well to contemplate and remember:
“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing”

Courage is about feeling the fear and doing it anyway. As Brené Brown writes, it’s about Daring Greatly; living life in a whole hearted way. Accepting that we can feel vulnerable and act boldly.

It is in our power to decide how we approach life, it’s joys and challenges.
It can be endured or it can be enjoyed.
We can prejudge ourselves, others and circumstance or we can remain open and curious.

If you treat life as an adventure it opens all kinds of possibilities that might have been closed off if you intent on always seeing things they way you’ve always seen them.

How can you being the spirit of adventure to life today?
