“A first time pregnancy is wonderful but it can be intimidating as well. We knew that we were facing an impossibly steep learning curve but had no idea just how much information and misinformation we would have to fight our way through. We both became increasingly worried and anxious about the birth, which should be the happiest event in life. So we decided that we would employ a Doula to help us through the birth.

However Kat did much, much more than simply hold our hands on the big day. Kat worked closely with us to plan for the birth that best suited our baby and us without trying to influence our choices. She provided an amazing amount of help and support, which empowered us in dealing with everyone from healthcare officials to friends and family.

Having Kat’s support was invaluable. Not only for her expert guidance on all the big decisions leading up the birth, but with birth itself as well as the first tentative weeks of parenthood. We hired a Doula and got a friend. A friend that we will certainly ask to accompany us through the pregnancy and birth of any future children that we might be lucky enough to have.”
