I was thrilled to join other UK HypnoBirthing practitioners at the Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch yesterday to hear Marie Mongan talk about the power of the mind and to reflect on our work in the UK. It was a great opportunity for almost a third of all HypnoBirthing practitioners in the UK to gather together and share advice and stories.

David Ellzey talked about using the Sedona Method as a tool to help release limiting emotions and thoughts in the moment (this can be very beneficial if things come up during labour!). We had in depth advice about nutrition during pregnancy, labour and post-natally and the wonderful Beverly Beech, Chair from AIMS (Association for Improvements in Maternity Services) reminded us just how important their work is and how crucial it is we help empower our mums and dads-to-be to fight for the birth experience they want and deserve.

A fascinating and inspiring day, it was even worth missing the Men’s Singles Final at Wimbledon!!
