Beneath the Hunter’s Moon | At the Threshold of Samhain
On Sunday 25 October, as the clocks go back and the Hunter’s Moon approaches fullness, we’ll gather in Waltham on the Wolds for a special evening of therapeutic sound.
It’s a beautiful moment in the seasonal cycle. The days are shortening, the natural world is drawing its energy inward, and we are approaching Samhain, the ancient Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker half of the year.
Traditionally, this was a time of gathering in, preparing for winter, honouring what had passed and remembering those who came before us.
There is something in this turning of the seasons that invites us to pause and listen a little more closely.
What are we ready to lay down? What do we want to carry with us? And what might we need to nourish and sustain ourselves through the darker months?
We’ll begin by grounding into the body, taking time to arrive and settle, before moving into an immersive therapeutic sound journey with gongs, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, chimes, percussion and moments of stillness.
There is nothing you need to achieve, release or work through. Simply a warm, welcoming space to lie down, listen and allow yourself to rest.
A little time to gather yourself at the threshold of the year.
When: Sunday 25th October, 7pm – 8.30pm
Where: Waltham on the Wolds Village Hall, 19 Goadby Road, Waltham on the Wolds LE14 4AG
