Acu-Gong | Turning Inward

Friday 27 November 2026

Release · Rest · Replenish

As the days grow shorter and the natural world settles into winter, we’re invited to follow its lead.

To slow down. To turn inward. To allow ourselves a little more space for rest.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, autumn is associated with the Metal element – a season of reflection, release and letting go. As we move towards winter, the energy shifts towards the Water element, traditionally associated with stillness, conservation and the nurturing of our deeper reserves. It’s a beautiful reminder that we don’t need to keep moving at the same pace throughout the year.

Our November Acu-Gong gathering takes inspiration from this seasonal transition, creating space to gently release the busyness of the preceding months and settle into the quieter rhythm of winter.

Through individualised acupuncture, guided meditation, intention setting and an immersive therapeutic sound journey, we invite you to step away from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with yourself. Not another thing to achieve or accomplish. Simply an opportunity to be held in a peaceful, nurturing space, with nothing more asked of you.

An evening to soften, settle and welcome the restorative energy of the season.

About Acu-Gong

Now in its fourth year of evolution, Acu-Gong brings together traditional acupuncturist Carolyn Eddleston and therapeutic sound practitioner Katrina Berry in an intimate collaboration inspired by the seasonal principles of Chinese medicine.

Each gathering weaves together individualised acupuncture, meditation, breathwork, intention setting and therapeutic sound, offering an opportunity for deep relaxation, reflection and reconnection.

What to expect

We begin by gathering together, allowing time to arrive, settle and connect with an intention for the evening.

You’ll then be invited to lie down comfortably as Carolyn offers an individualised acupuncture treatment, guided by her assessment and the seasonal principles of Chinese medicine. As the acupuncture takes place, Kat creates an immersive soundscape using planetary-tuned gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, quartz crystal bowls and other therapeutic instruments.

We finish gently, with time for grounding, reflection and optional sharing before closing our circle.

These are small, thoughtfully held gatherings, with places intentionally limited to allow for personal attention and an unhurried experience.

“I wanted to drop you both a quick note this morning to say, again, how much I enjoyed last night’s session.

In fact, I have been a bit blown away by what happened during and since! I feel like an enormous psychic block/weight has been lifted from me. It’s difficult to describe, but I feel now like a completely clear bell of crystal surrounds me and I feel filled with light. I realise that probably sounds a bit dramatic, but I can’t think of another way to describe it!!

So massive thanks to you both for being such wonderful channels of Spirit. I’m still feeling filled up with gratitude.”
