After the Winter Solstice and before the Spring Equinox is the Celtic cross-quarter festival of Imbolc which marks the first whisper of the spark of Spring.

For me, Imbolc is a little like the snooze button on an alarm… it’s not quite time to wake up, we know the time to get up and out is coming but, for now, we can snoozle a little longer and continue to dream up seeds of new beginnings.

I once heard Imbolc referred to as a cosy day of relaxation and self-care, an idea that deeply resonates with me. It’s time to remember that Winter’s medicine is about rest, recovery, and going within. When we rest enough during Winter, we have the energy we need to sustain us for the remainder of the year.

Imbolc is also known as The Festival of Brigid, a much beloved and enduring Celtic Goddess of illumination, fire and creativity.

I look forward to tuning into these themes at our Imbolc celebration of Emergence at the end of the month.

We gather in ritual, with a bespoke aroma blend honouring the season, a moving meditation crafting Brigid crosses, then sink into the restorative frequencies of Sound and silence.

The planets are aligning 🪐

You’ve probably heard about the planetary parade occurring next weekend…

A planet parade is when several of our solar system’s planets are visible in the night sky at the same time.

Caused by the different orbital speeds and distances of the planets, alignments are relatively common between two planets, but full alignments of six as will happen this month are rare.

Whilst the change in the gravitational force that the Earth experiences is negligible, there are those who believe that planetary alignments enhance the flow of cosmic energy, making it a good time for spiritual practices and rituals.

Perfect timing for Friday evening’s Acu-Gong and Sunday evening Sound @walthamvillagehall then!

In many astrological traditions these alignments can be viewed as a time of change, growth, and new opportunities. When these planets come together, they are thought to bring balance, peace, and harmony to different areas of life.

So too can a Sound Bath and the powerful combination of Acupuncture and Sound.

A beautiful white, frosty morning greeted the gathering in Sound this morning.

Thankfully the hall was toasty and cosy, a welcome space for all (as always) where we can pause to rest and receive.

Sunday morning Sound is unlike other sound baths. Days of the week have their own vibe and a morning sound session offers a different opportunity to be with the frequencies.

It’s a joy to welcome newbies alongside the faithful regulars and with time afterwards to share tea and cake, it’s fascinating to hear from you and share more about the instruments.

Rest well under the watchful gaze of the Wolf Moon .

January can be hard.

We NEED to go slow… our bodies and souls demand it.

They remember that we are a part of nature and, just as the Earth is, our energy needs to go inwards so we can resource and replenish to be ready come spring time.

So many of us dislike going out on a winters evening and hate driving in the dark with those too bright car headlamps, I hear ya.

Come and join me for my monthly Sunday morning Sound sessions in Seagrave (LE12, just off the A46) where we gather to cosy up and be bathed in soothing frequencies before drinking hot spicy tea, eat sweet treats and chat.

Dedication 🙏

I was blown away by the dedication and commitment shown by sound bathers at @mmc_venue last night.

With the local area flooded in so many areas, travelling anywhere is a real test - it was 5x the journey time to Mountsorrel me - but such was the commitment to self care that there were no no shows and only a few cancellations as we gathered for the first sound baths of 2025.

The stress of recent days was evident in many as they arrived, but within a haven of peace we shifted frequencies, eased tensions and co-created a remembrance of anotherness.

A space beyond it all where we can rest and receive.

I applaud you all for your dedication to your self 👏🏻

We will tune into the energy of the season and cosy up to be bathed in the soothing frequencies of Himalayan and quartz crystal singing bowls, planetary tuned gongs, chimes, drum and various therapeutic percussive instruments.

After a full sound bath experience we share Immuni-Tea (the spiced tea I share each winter well known for it’s anti-viral, immunity boosting properties) and treats before emerging feeling restored and refreshed ready to enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

1588 souls from the ages of 4 to 84 have bathed in sound with me this year…

From bespoke small circles to a corporate wellness session for 180, I curated sound baths supporting staff wellbeing for a variety of companies, from schools to psychologists, charities and counsellors to rehabilitation for military personnel.

From forests to a lake, manor houses and hotels, open fires and swimming pool, Sound brings magic anywhere and everywhere.

Collaboration continues to be a source of joy with Acu-Gong, Elevation, Yin, Nidra and now morning, day and weekend retreats…
