As the year draws to a close and we reach the longest night, join myself and Mairi Taylor for a magical evening of rhythm, connection, celebration and deep rest.
Solstice Beats: Drum. Dance. Dream. is a Winter Solstice gathering designed to help you pause, reflect, release what no longer serves you, and welcome the return of the light.
For thousands of years, cultures around the world have gathered at this turning point in the year to celebrate hope, community and renewal. Together, we’ll honour this ancient tradition through cacao, rhythm, movement and sound.
We begin with a warming cup of ceremonial cacao, a heart-opening plant medicine rich in antioxidants, minerals and mood-enhancing compounds. Cacao gently energises the body while encouraging presence, connection and an open heart.
From there, we’ll gather in a powerful drum circle, creating a shared heartbeat through rhythm and resonance. Drumming can be deeply grounding and uplifting, helping us connect with ourselves, each other, and the collective energy of the group.
Then it’s time to celebrate.
Slip on your headphones and join us for a joyful silent disco, where you’ll be free to move, dance and express yourself without inhibition. A chance to shake off the year, raise your energy and embrace the spirit of the season.
As the evening unfolds, we’ll soften into stillness with a deeply immersive sound bath. Surrounded by the rich tones of gongs and singing bowls, you’ll be invited into a state of relaxation and restoration, allowing body and mind to integrate the journey of the evening.
