Description
Join me for the first Sunset Sunday evening Sound of the year, under the light of a new moon.
Sunday is the day of the Sun, a day for relaxing, unwinding, going within and connecting with your inner self and radiance. The energy of the day really supports self-reflection, spiritual growth and giving yourself the time you need to restore and replenish your soul. This unwinding helps you get centred and refocused for the week ahead.
A Sound Bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture and nourish your mind and body.
The experience begins with each person lying down or seated in a comfortable position, often with a blanket and an eye mask. After a few minutes of guided focus on the breath, the remainder of the experience is filled with different sounds and frequencies being introduced in succession. The sounds are created by a variety of overtone-emitting instruments including Himalayan and quartz crystal singing bowls, planetary tuned gongs, chimes, drum, shruti box and various percussion instruments.
These sounds have the potential to relax, realign and restore you on all levels; all you need to do is get comfortable and be open to absorbing them as they take you on a magical journey. You are free to relax and drift off where the sound takes you.
The Village Hall in Waltham on the Wolds is spacious, modern and very peaceful. Please bring all you need to be super comfy and warm on the ground. A yoga / camping mat, blankets, a cushion; perhaps a hot water bottle and eye pillow/mask are recommended. I can bring a yoga mat and eye pillow for you if you let me know in advance (first come first served!). If you’d prefer to be seated you are welcome to bring a camping chair.
