Samhain : Reflection
£30.00
Gathering together to mark the hinges in the wheel of the year we recognise the rhythms of nature, the ebb and flow of energy and light both around us and within us. Weaving ceremony, ritual, sound and silence as a small circle of 13 we honour the rhythms of nature, as we honour the rhythm and cycles within ourselves.
Samhain is the cross-quarter day marking the mid-point between the Autumn Equinox & the Winter Solstice. As we move towards darkness, Samhain provides the opportunity to turn inward, reflect and meditate on the past year. It is the perfect time to allow what no longer serves us to die, let go and look forward. We can use the energies of the new moon to close the doors and say goodbye to all that is no longer serving your soul as we welcome a new lunar cycle and Celtic new year.

Description
The Celts ― an ancient people that spread across Europe most associated with modern-day Scotland, England, Wales, and Ireland ― celebrated their “new year”, Samhain, on October 31 / November 1st. Literally translating in Gaelic to “Summer’s End”, Samhain marks the time when the sun ― or, the Son of the Goddess ― dies and rests in peace until his rebirth during the Winter Solstice.
And so Samhain is a festival of death as it is the death of the year and of the waxing Sun. It is also the death of the earth when plants, seeds and acorns are now slowly descending underground to ready themselves to be reborn in Spring. Animals will start to hibernate and the earth will appear barren as it sleeps through the winter months.
As the Earth energies are being pulled inwards at this time, this is the time we should also be looking inwards at ourselves. Contemplate the year we have had and what lessons we have learned, whether they were good or bad, what can we take from them and use in the future.
Weaving ceremony, ritual, reflection, journalling, Sound and silence we gather as a small circle of 13 to honour this Sabbat.
